Cecelia Nicolet of Great Bend announces the engagement of her daughter Katie Lynne Nicolet to Tech Sgt. Christopher A. Barnett, son of Timothy and Jeanette Barnett of Meridian, Idaho and South Korea. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Kenneth Nicolet.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Great Bend High School. In 2012 she graduated from Barton Community College with a degree in Business Administration Technology. She also attended Wichita State University.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Bahrain International Department of Defense High School in Manama, Bahrain. He is serving in the United States Air Force stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita as an Electrical and Environmental Specialist.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 24, in Great Bend.
