Jeff and Rhonda Schroeder, of Manhattan, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jillian Crystal Schroeder to Randy Lee Tinkel, son of Darrell and Carma Tinkel of Great Bend. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Bob and Ramona Brewer, Robert Ray and Paul and Milda Trimble. The prospective groom is the grandson of Alvera Tinkel of Great Bend the late Frank Tinkel and the late Emil and Alverta Juergensen.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Manhattan High School. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Communication Sciences and Disorders and Human Ecology. She is pursuing graduate studies in Applied Behavioral Sciences through Penn State University. She is employed as an in-home ABA therapist in Manhattan.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Great Bend High School. He attended Barton Community College and Manhattan Area Technical College. He is the owner/operator of RT Trucking LLC in Manhattan.
An outdoor wedding is planned for Sept. 24 in Manhattan.
