Terry and Sandra Vink of Great Bend announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica M. Vink, to Jack R. Bates, son of Jim Bates of Overland park and Susan Bates of Dallas, Texas.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Great Bend High School. In 2008, she eared her pharmaceutical degree from the University of Kansas. She is employed as a pharmacist for Ball Foods Stores in Overland Park.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Chemistry and in 2011, he earned his pharmaceutical degree. He is employed as a pharmacist for CVS Pharmacy in Overland Park.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 31 in Kansas City.
