GOAT ISLAND, AUSTRALIA A new YouTube video shows just how bold a dog can be when protecting its domain.
The footage was shot at a lodge on the Adelaide River in Australias Northern Territory. The YouTube user who originally posted the video explained in the description that they were visiting the Goat Island Lodge with family members. The lodge owner, named King Kai Hansen, kicked off the action by throwing a piece of chicken to a 10-foot crocodile lurking near the rivers edge.
How are you, beautiful? Hansen calls out to the massive visitor. Ive got you a bit of chicken.
The crocodile, nicknamed Casey, is apparently a familiar sight at the lodge. But that doesnt make his presence any more acceptable to Hansens dog, which can be heard barking and growling in the background.
Hansen then spends the next 40 seconds or so talking to his guests about crocodiles, which are plentiful in that area of Australia. At 1:18 in the video, however, the dog decided that enough was enough.
Here he goes! someone exclaims.
The dog rushes boldly down toward the river to growl and nip at the crocodiles tail. In response, the crocodile thrashes around and lunges back into the water.
Hansens guests are left amazed by the small animals bravery, referring to it as a crazy dog.
