Pilot Club of Great Bend welcomed two new members on April 18. The co-chairs of the membership division Joyce Beadles-Fry and Nancy Schuetz hosted the initiation performed by Sharon Mauler by welcoming two new members, Christie Snyder with sponsor Nancy Schuetz, and Chris Rippel with sponsor Vicki Richardson, Beadles-Fry said.

“That expanding membership allows us the opportunity for our club to increase our volunteerism as an active service organization in the community,” she said. “As Pilots we continue our mission to improve the quality of life in our community through our focus on brain safety and health and supporting those who care for others.”

Community partner Kansas Children’s Service League - Healthy Families added to the celebration by providing tokens of appreciation to the club to mark the 10,000-plus service and volunteer hours by members in Barton County. Accepting the basket, President Barbara Watson said, “all our community efforts are made possible by our annual Geranium Sale now in its 34th year. which allows us to do so much for the community.”

They have Geraniums available in baskets and by individual plants until the delivery date of May 4. Contact a Pilot club member for a purchase of geraniums.
