Walter Ehrlich of Great Bend will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception from 1:30–3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, in the First Southern Baptist Church Annex, 3301 19th Street, Great Bend. Friends and family are invited to come celebrate with him and his family. No gifts please. 

Walter was born on Sept. 3, 1928, in Russell, the son of Gottfried and Regina Ehrlich. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in 1947. Before retiring in 1994, he spent much of his life traveling the roads as a truck driver for Thies Packing Company and later Glasco Tank Company.

He has two children, Rosalee Robinson, Leavenworth, and Keith Ehrlich, Wichita; and three grandchildren, Amanda Calovich, Lawrence, Ian Ehrlich, Overland Park, and Nathan Ehrlich, Wichita.
