Vanessa Mendoza and Ty Cornwell were united in marriage on Oct. 28 in a ceremony held at Veracruz, Mexico. Parents of the couple are Rosa Elisa Mendoza Verde of Boca Del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico and Joe and Lisa Cornwell of St. John. The bride is the daughter of the late Juan Valenzuela Ramirez.
Witnesses for the bride and groom were Sara Maraboto, Lucia Mendoza, Julio Sanchez and Carla Robinson.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Colegio La Salle de Veracruz, and 2010 graduate of the University of Villa Rico, with a degree in business administration. 
The groom is a 2005 graduate of St. John High School, and a 2009 graduate of Missouri Welding Institute. He ranches and farms with Cornwell Farms in St. John.
The couple is currently residing in Veracruz. They will return to St. John for their permanent residence.
