Caryn Aileen Mong and Travis Jon Kaiser were united in marriage on April 30 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend in a double ring ceremony officiated by the Rev. James Strasen.
Parents of the bride are Rodney and Julie Knoblich, of Hoisington. Parents of the groom are Jon and Ruth Kaiser, of Ellinwood. Grandparents of the bride are the late Thomas and Connie Brown, Jackie Pritchard of Hoisington, and George and Dorothy Pritchard of Minneapolis, Minn. Grandparents of the groom are John and Lavon Glenn of Ellinwood, and Marilyn Kaiser of Claflin and the late Leo Kaiser.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore Brielle by Maggie Sottero, a one-piece, strapless, luminous satin gown with lace-up closure, beaded embellishments flourishing throughout the bust creating glistening dual bands edging the ruched bodice, and a voluminous full A-line skirt softly caught up throughout. She carried hand-tied fresh cut red roses with rhinestone and gold accents throughout.
Matron of honor was Janai Jacobs, of Hoisington. Bridesmaids were Ashley Porter, sister of the groom and Kaycee Brown, cousin of the bride, both of Ellinwood, and Casey Hatzenbuehler, of West Plains, Mo. They wore candy apple red satin dresses with a latte accent belts. They carried hand-tied fresh cut latte roses with red and gold accents throughout.
Best man was Andrew Kirkpatrick of Ellinwood. Groomsmen were Corey French, Todd Ammeter, and Corey Long, all of Ellinwood.
Ushers were Chris Schartz of Claflin, and Brad Birzer of Ellinwood.
Flower girls were Alibbea Mong, daughter of the bride, and Lydia Porter, niece of the groom, both of Ellinwood.
Harpist was Julie Rewerts of Stafford.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Hoisington High School. She graduated from Barton Community College with an associate’s degree in Science. She is employed by CPI Qualified Plan Consultants in Great Bend.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Ellinwood High School. He graduated from Manhattan Area Tech. with an associate’s degree in Applied Science. He is employed at Doonan Specialized Trailer in Great Bend.
After the honeymoon on a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Ellinwood.
