Shawna Robl and Matt Schafer were united in marriage on Oct. 11, 2014, at St. Joseph Church in Ellinwood, in a double ring ceremony officiated by Fr. Pascal Klein. Parents of the couple are Craig and Paula Robl of Ellinwood, Larry and Waynette Stroda of Lawrence, Todd and Suzanne Schafer of Belton, Mo., and Jim and Denise Klima of Claflin. Grandparents of the couple are Roy and Rosemary Robl of
Ellinwood, Carolyn Schafer of Hutchinson and the late Ted Schafer.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Melissa Doll. Bridesmaids were Courtney Robl, sister-in-law of the bride, Brittany Barr and Casey Corbett.
Best man was James Lyman, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Cody Maris, Shane Ringle, and Kody Krier.
Ushers were Christopher Robl, brother of the bride and David Navarro.
Flower girl was Ava Holden, niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Rylan Stroda, brother of the bride.
The bride is employed as a CPA at Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball, Chtd. in Great Bend.
The groom is employed as an electrician at Jaguar Electric in Great Bend.
A honeymoon trip is planned later this year to Jamaica. The couple resides in Ellinwood.
