Mr. and Mrs. Thomas

Whitney Renee Stuart and Brandon David Thomas were united in marriage on  Jan. 3, at the Grove Isle Hotel in Key Biscayne, Fla. in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Michael J. Calderin. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stuart of Overland Park and the granddaughter of the late Inez Friedley. The groom is the son of Windy Thomas of White Hall, Md., and David and Dawn Thomas of Great Bend, and the grandson of Eleanor Miller of Great Bend and the late Harold Thomas and the late Edwin and Nora Karst.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory silk chiffon wedding gown with  capped sleeves and sweep train from Amy Michelson accessorized by an elbow-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white orchids.
Maid of honor was Sybil Mora. Bridesmaid was Tina Thomas, sister of the groom. 
Best man was Matt Myers. Groomsman was Lucas Herl, step-brother of the groom. 
Flower girl was Claire Herl, niece of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of the Hoffman International School of Modeling and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas. She is employed as a marketing associate and account manager for a computer software company.
The groom is a second year pharmacy student at the University of Kansas and works part time in a pharmacy. A member of the Deans List for several semesters of his undergraduate studies and for all of his pharmacy studies, he was accepted into the Rho Chi Honor Society at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Kansas.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Olathe.
