Adventist School fruit sales begin soon

The Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist School will start this year’s citrus fruit sales next week.
Sponsors said top quality fruit from the Indian River area of Florida is picked and shipped within a few days by H&S Citrus Inc. The fruit is never colored or artificially ripened, so the color is natural, controlled only by the weather.
Order taking starts Tuesday and ends on Dec. 1. Bulk orders are taken to Larned and other local communities. Minimal extra boxes are ordered for late sales but this is not guaranteed.
Navel oranges and pink grapefruit are packed in two sizes – 21 lbs. and 42 lbs. Grapefruit and tangelos will also be available in January, and possibly the navel oranges, depending on the weather.
Fruit will be available Dec. 8-9 at the Seventh-day Adventist School, 1 mile west of 10th and Patton in Great Bend, and Dec. 8 at the Larned Seventh-day Adventist Church at 8th and DeAnne St.
