Asphalt crack sealing set to begin on K-4

Starting around Wednesday, the Kansas Department of Transportation will begin an asphalt roadway crack sealing project on K-4 in Rush County.  This project runs from the Ness/Rush County line to the Rush/Barton County line, said Martin Miller with KDOT.
Scheduled to be completed by the end of October, the project will require traffic to be controlled by flagmen and a pilot car, so drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.  There will be a 13 foot width restriction in the work zone.
Kuntz Contracting Corp. from Selma, Texas, is the prime contractor for this $98,073 project, which is funded by T-WORKS, the transportation program passed by the Kansas Legislature in May 2010.
