BCC course explains how to use the Internet

Barton Community College is offering a five-week course for people who are new to the Internet.

"Exploring the Internet," taught by Rich Unrein, will teach students how to use links, customize and perform searches, run virus scans and organize favorites. The class also includes instruction on how to use Microsoft Outlook to set up an e-mail account, create and edit the e-mail address book, use task manager and create appointments or meetings.

The class is from 2-5 p.m. on Tuesdays, from Jan. 17 to Feb. 14 at the Great Bend Workforce Center, room D-107, 1025 Main Street in Great Bend.

The cost to attend is $87, or $30 for Silver Cougar Club members.
