LYONS — Barton Community College will offer a Certified Medication Aide update class from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 at Lyons Good Samaritan.

Medication aides are required to complete 10 hours of continuing education every two years. The CMA update will enhance participants’ knowledge and skills essential for proper storage, handling and administration of medications. It also will provide updates on drug-to-drug and drug-to-food interactions, legal guidelines, and regulations pertaining to medication administration and the older adult.

Pre-registration is required and students must pre-pay for the class prior to the first class session.
