Prospective pilots from the area will have a chance to learn the fundamentals of flying as Barton Community College will offer private pilot ground school classes from 6-9:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 5 through July 26 in Barton’s Technical Building, T-184.
The four credit-hour course will provide the ground school requirements allowing students to take the Federal Aviation Administration written private pilot test with the proper endorsement. The written exam is good for 24 calendar months, giving students the time needed to pursue flight training.
