BCC trustees consider Fire Science certificate; revisit policy manual

The Barton Community College Board of Trustees will discuss the creation of a Fire Science certificate program during its September study session, set for 4 p.m. Thursday in room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building. Other items on the agenda include a change in the Home Health Aide course required for a Licensed Practical Nurse certificate, and proposed changes to the board policy manual. Dean of Administration Mark Dean will present the financial statement, and will talk about "Higher One."

Other topics on the agenda for discussion include anonymous letters, position appointments and the reading of the second draft of a strategic plan and related planning documents.

No action is taken at study sessions, which are open to the pulic.
