Crime Stoppers of Barton County and Great Bend continues to seek information on vandalism that occurred last month at several oilfield sites.
Between March 16 and 30, lease sites north of Galatia and sites east of Ellinwood were vandalized. Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings, speaking for Crime Stoppers, said several large brass valves were stolen from tank batteries on these sites. Damage and replacement costs exceeded $4,000.
“If you have information about these crimes or any other crimes, please call 792-1300 or 888-305-1300,” Akings said. “Remember, we don’t want your name, just your information.”
