Barton Community College’s Board of Trustees will review a request that the college upgrade its Camp Aldrich facility, when the board holds its monthly study session this week. The meeting is set for 4 p.m. Thursday in the Seminar Room, F-30 of the Fine Arts Building on campus.

The request for Camp Aldrich improvements comes from the American Cancer Society, which has held Camp Hope at the site for many years. Other items on the agenda include proposed increases to tuition and fees, Early Childhood certificate programs, an agreement with CPI Qualified Plan Consultants, wording of the 2010 Community Report Card, the annual state bid for replacement vehicles, a proposed executive limitation statement, legislative link update and changes to the ENDS.

ENDS are the goals and outcomes set by board members to direct policy. Thursday’s discussion topics are an ENDS measurement model, and new proposed ENDS statements for service regions and strategic planning.

Study sessions are intended for planning only and no action will be taken by the board at this meeting.
