A Dodge Charger driven by Edna Holguin, 20, of Lewis, rear-ended a Chevrolet 2500 pickup driven by Michael Hart, 37, of Yale, Okla., Wednesday on U.S. 56 on the southwest edge of Great Bend.

Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports Hart was stopped on U.S. 56 waiting for another vehicle to turn onto Railroad Ave., when the pickup was hit by the car. Holguin had minor injuries to her hand and complained of chest pains from the air bag. She did not want an ambulance and said she would go to the hospital by personal vehicle to be treated. The Charger had major damage to the front end and was towed. The pickup had minor damage to the rear and Hart was able to drive away.
