College event raised more than $75,000

The Barton Community College Foundation has announced net proceeds from its 32nd Annual Big Benefit Auction, "A Night in Napa." The final tally after expenses have been paid came to $75,836. All funds raised through the auction go to academic scholarships and program enhancements for the college, said Darnell Holopirek, Barton’s executive director of institutional advancement. The Big Benefit Auction is the Foundation’s longest running fund-raiser.
