College trustees to meet Thursday

The Barton Community College Board of Trustees will hold its annual retreat at noon Thursday, June 19, in the conference room of the Administrative Building. This meeting replaces the monthly study session and is for planning purposes. No action will be taken.
Topics on the agenda include federal financial aid policy implications; property and workman’s comp insurance; enrollment by head count and full-time equivalency for 2013-14; budget analysis for the next fiscal year; tuition increase assessment; Camp Aldrich facility planning; Automotive Technology program review; and the five-year plan for institutional planning and effectiveness;
The board will also see the final reports from Economic Modeling Specialists Inc., a third-party provider of socioeconomic impact and strategic planning tools to help colleges measure their worth to their communities. BCC has undergone an evaluation by EMSI in an effort to obtain and objective analysis.
