Crime Stoppers seeks recovery of Thompson gun

The theft of a Thompson submachine gun from a Great Bend residence has Crime Stoppers asking the public for information. Police Chief Dean Akings reports the gun, valued at $1,700, was stolen sometime between 4 p.m. on Aug. 27 and 5:11 p.m. on the 28th, from a home at 2821 16th St. “This .45 caliber automatic machine gun was a model T1SB with serial number KH2157,” Akings said. “The house was locked but possibly entered through a basement window.
