Crime Stoppers seeks tips on burglaries

Sometime between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Nov. 9, a shed at 457 SE 20 Ave. was burglarized. Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings, speaking for Crime Stoppers of Barton County and Great Bend, said items stolen included a Lincoln-brand welder, Hitachi chop saw, Dewald grinder, kerosene heater, cutting torch and other shop equipment. Loss was $2,100.

Police are also seeking information about a burglary that occurred on Oct. 24 at a residence at 2711 Washington, between the hours of 5 and 10:30 p.m. A Samsung camera, prescription Oakley sunglasses and Cellucor Supplement drink mix were stolen, for a loss of $875.

More thefts occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 6 a.m. Nov. 3 at 2201 Sunset Road in Great Bend, where a Ford pickup was burglarized. Taken were a Bowtech camouflage bow, Leas River camera, Bushnell binoculars and a Nikon range finder. Loss was $2,900.
