Deines exhibit opens with musical performances

RUSSELL — The Deines Cultural Center, 820 North Main, Russell, will host a musical performance and reception from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, for its latest exhibit. Wood engraving prints and engraved blocks by E. Hubert Deines will be on display through the end of the year.  
Friday’s event includes a piano performance by Steven Lueth, and paintings by the Deines Center Staff: Shannon Trevethan, Matt Miller and Katie Obholz.  The  center will also exhibit various artists from the collection of the Friends of the Deines.
Anyone who is currently a member, and would like to continue their membership through 2014, is asked to renew at this time. Membership is open to all and Shannon Trevethan, director of the Deines Cultural Center, is encouraging everyone to consider membership as a way to help keep the arts alive on the High Plains.
