Great Bend Police were looking for a known individual after he reportedly battered someone at Walmart, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. At 11:11 p.m., the reporting party called again, saying the suspect was at a residence in the 3400 block of 18th St. About 10 minutes later, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle in that block for an alleged traffic violation. The driver kept going until the next block, where her passenger, the suspect in the battery case, fled from the vehicle.
