Driver captured after pursuit

Cory A. Little, Great Bend, was arrested early Tuesday following a pursuit that started at NW 20 Ave. and NW 70 Road, and ended in the 3000 block of Broadway Ave. in Great Bend. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. when a Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop the vehicle. After reaching speeding over 90 mph in the county, the driver reportedly ran stop signs and avoided tire spikes and was traveling 60 mph in town until the vehicle went into a ditch at 18th and Jackson. Little ran on foot and was caught by a Great Bend Police officer on Broadway at 3:33 a.m.
He was booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, felony flee and elude, reckless driving, driving while revoked, felony obstruction, no insurance, fail to stop at stop sign, speeding, expired registration, tag not assigned to a vehicle, fail to signal turn and driving on the left side of the road. Bond was set at $25,000.
