Ellsworth woman injured

ELLSWORTH — An Ellsworth woman was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after the sport utility vehicle she was driving was rear-ended by a pickup on K-156 and Kunkle Drive in Ellsworth.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports Rita K. Thurber, 52, was northbound on K-156 and had stopped in traffic to make a left turn when her Suzuki was hit from behind by the Chevrolet pickup driven by David W. Buchholz, 57, Ellsworth. Both were wearing seat belts. Thurber was taken to Ellsworth District Hospital with undetermined injuries. Buchholz was not injured.
