Pastor Duane and Sue Kershner from Roca Blanca Mission Base, Mexico, will be ministering at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. today at Faith Community Church. In 1990, the  Kershners left central Kansas to establish the Roca Blanca Mission Base in the State of Oaxaca located in the southern part of Mexico. Mission statistics show the state of Oaxaca has the greatest concentration of unreached people groups in all the Americas: sixteen major tribes with 155 dialects. For centuries the rugged Sierra Madre Mountains and coastal regions of Oaxaca have been dominated by idolatry, witchcraft, poverty and disease. After 20 years of team building, pioneering, purchasing property, building facilities, evangelizing through compassionate outreaches, and discipling, they have planted over 50 churches that are led by their own trained graduates through the Roca Blanca Training Center. Roca Blanca can facilitate short term mission teams that go out to distribute food, set up medical, dental, and optometry clinics in remote areas along with evangelistic outreaches to youth through drama and sporting events. The ministries now in operation at Roca Blanca Mission Base are: Victory Bible Institute, Victory School of Music and Worship, Roca Blanca Trade School, Corban Clinic, Bethel House of Prayer, Short Term Missions, Christian Spanish Academy, and Roca Blanca Middle and High School.
