The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free Stop ‘N Learn Session, “Tree Diseases and Insects,” from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. District Forester Jim Strine with the Kansas Forest Service will talk about the current dry conditions and anticipated insect and disease problems facing trees in the Great Bend area.
