“Update on Radon” is the title of the next Stop ‘N Learn session, set for noon on Monday, Jan. 28, at the Great Bend Activity Center. This free one-hour program is sponsored by the Great Bend Recreation Commission and will be presented by Brian Hansen, K-State Research and Extension Specialist.
January is Radon Action Awareness Month, said Garet Fitzpatrick, program coordinator at the Recreation Commission. This program will discuss the levels of radon being reported in Barton County.  Information will also be given regarding what can be done to reduce radon levels. Radon test kits will be available for $5.
