Free youth ATV safety training session offered

 The Central Kansas Off Road Association will host a youth ATV safety training session for youths 15 years and younger this Saturday. The session will be held at 1 p.m. the Radium bridge riding area.
There is no charge for the training session, and CKORA will provided snacks/beverages to participants. Youths should be accompanied by their parent/guardian, and bring their ATV, helmet, goggles, gloves, boots and any other safety gear they usually wear.
Participants must register in advance by calling CKORA treasurer Kathie Rondeau, treasurer, 282-9957, by 5 p.m. Friday.

Nazarene Church to hold car wash

The First Church of the Nazarene’s children’s ministries will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at the Great Bend Appliance and Furniture Store parking lot, 2301 10th St. Lunch of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will also be available.Money raised at this fundraiser will be used for children’s camps, quizzing and other projects and activities.
