A traffic infraction early Thursday ended in a drug arrest, according to Lt. William Browne at the Great Bend Police Department.
At 1:34 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the 3500 block of 10th St. The GBPD K-9 was called to the scene and walked around the vehicle. When the dog indicated the presence of suspected drugs, police reportedly located approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine inside. The driver, Tyler Boeck, 26, was arrested and booked at the Barton County Jail.
Browne said the case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the GBPD, 793-4120, or Crime Stoppers, 792-1300. For calls outside of Great Bend, the toll-free Crime Stoppers telephone number is 888-305-1300.
