The Great Bend Recreation Commission will offer an American Red Cross lifeguard certification course March 16-21 at the Barton Community College pool.  GBRC offers the ARC Water Park Lifeguard training class. This class includes CPR for the professional rescuer, AED, and first aid. This is a 24-31-hour course.  
At completion of the course, participants will receive a 2 year First Aid and CPR/AED certification and a 2 year Lifeguarding certification.  
The GBRC will also offer an “American Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification Course” on March 22.
