Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland will have a pool party in Larned and a movie day in Great Bend this week to encourage girls in Barton, Pawnee and Rush counties to “Sign Up for Scouting.”
The pool party will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Larned Swimming Pool, 100 First St. in Schnack Park. Participants are invited to bring their family for an evening of swimming and Girl Scout fun. Attendance requires girls to be sign up for scouting and pay Girl Scout USA dues of $12. Financial assistance is available.
Movie day check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Village Cinema, 4805 10th, Great Bend, with the movie starting at 10:30. In addition to GSUSA dues, the cost for the movie and popcorn is $5.
