An E-waste trailer will be available at the Barton County Extension office, 1800 12th street, during business hours on Tuesday, Nov. 8th. The “Green” day kicks off with the Extension council elections opening at 7:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. A noon program titled, “Cook Once – Eat Twice” will feature recipes that save time and energy in the kitchen. A “Recycled Crafts” program for kids after school will run from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. The first 18 kids to register will enjoy this “hands on” workshop. The final program “Composting Yard and Food Waste” will be led by Julie Peterson and Kathie Rondeau. Both ladies have experience with this earth friendly habit. The composting program will begin at 5:30 p.m. All programs will be held at the Extension Office Meeting Room.
