Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice will sponsor a Monday evening grief support group in Great Bend from March 18 through May 20.  It will meet each Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Conference Room 103 of the Medical Building at 3520 Lakin (entrance on Lincoln St.) in Great Bend.
Hospice Chaplain John Grummon and GBHHH Social Worker Cathy Soeken will co-facilitate the support group. “Guided by qualified facilitators, group members will provide support and healing for one another,” said Grummon. “This group setting becomes a safe place to share while doing the important work of mourning and learning new ways to approach problems.”
All discussions are confidential, Soeken added. “Participants can feel free to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences,” she said. “Sharing memories and photos, poetry or other significant mementos is welcome and encouraged. This is a good way to allow other group members the opportunity to know more about the loved ones being mourned.”
Anyone interested in attending the grief support group may contact Grummon or Soeken for further details by calling 620-792-8171.
