The grand opening ceremony for the Great Bend Sports Complex will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the complex, located at 41 McKinley St.
The varsity and junior varsity of the Great Bend High School Panthers vs. the Garden City Buffaloes will play baseball at 4 p.m., and between games there will be a Great Bend Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and the grand opening ceremony. According to Community Coordinator Christina Hayes, this Chamber After Hours event is open to the public and will include traditional “take me out to the ball game” sorts of snacks, including soft drinks, hot dogs, peanuts, and Cracker Jack.
