City Church Ministries will host a citywide Christian Meet ‘n’ Greet at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the large shelter in Veterans Memorial Park. Those who can afford it are asked to bring a covered dish. All Christians are invited for a time of fellowship, testimonies and prayer for the community.
Spokesman Mike Richardson said the ministry has also started a web page on Facebook, “Great Bend Christians,” designed to connect Christians from all over town. It is open to any Christian in any ministry and is a place to make community announcements, plan outreach programs or list needs such as food, clothing or any assistance a person may need.
