A Hoisington man was injured in a one-vehicle accident in the 10 block of NW 100 Road. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports James Lyons, 25, was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital by Hoisington ambulance with undetermined injuries.
The accident occurred around 3 a.m. on Sunday, when the 1995 Ford Mustang Lyons was driving went into a ditch, struck a culvert embankmant and rolled one time, landing on its wheels. It is unknown if Lyons was ejected or had his seat belt on; he woke up outside of the car.
Lyons said he had ingested vodka Saturday night in Great Bend. He did not remember the drive home or what happened at the time of the crash.
The car was removed by Marmie’s and stored at Marmie’s. Hoisington Police Department and Emergency Medical Service assisted on the case.
