The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free Stop ‘N Learn session titled, “Age Sense – Adapting To Life’s Changes,” from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St.
Groucho Marx once remarked that anyone can get old – all you have to do is live long enough. But growing old is more than merely making time; it takes attitude, according to presenter Donna Krug, family and consumer sciences agent with the Barton County Extension. Krug invites participants to examine their beliefs about aging and the myths that exist within our society. Her talk is also described as an exploration of the dual ideas of loss and opportunity, and a balanced perspective of growing older. Krug will help develop the groundwork for an adaptable, engaged “older you.”
