A 29-year-old man who passed out while flying a kite Saturday night was upset because he couldn’t get a 911 tape to post online.
The Great Bend Police log shows that a woman on Barton Drive called 911 at 10:21 p.m. to report a male was lying in the yard and was unresponsive. An officer responded and determined the man was intoxicated.
The man called the police from a residence on Firethorn St. at 11:44 p.m. requesting a copy of the 911 call so he could put it on YouTube. He was advised the officer was not able to get a copy of the call.
At 1:52 a.m. Sunday he called 911 again, saying an officer woke him up on private property, would not give him the 911 tape and did not use his blinker. He was advised to call back Monday when he wasn’t drunk if he still wanted to make a complaint.
