The purchase of a four-sided scoreboard for the Barton Community College Gymnasium is on the agenda for the next BCC Board of Trustees meeting, set for 4 p.m. Thursday in room F-30, the Seminar Room of the Fine Arts Building. Cost with installation will be over $62,000, but private funds have been raised to cover $45,000 of the cost. The last scoreboard was installed in 1986.
Other items on the agenda are the final draft of this year’s Community Report, a monitory report on “essential skills,” and personnel, including renewing the contract of head track coach Dave Schenek, as well as hiring an assistant track and cross country coach.
The board will also hold an executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters, in order to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) being discussed.
