An Olmitz man was seriously injured early Saturday when the pickup he was driving went off K-4, west of Hoisington.
Dominic Manley was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington and later taken to Via Christi’s St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. A passenger, Matthew Crotinger, Bison, was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.
Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident occurred at 3:30 a.m. at K-4’s mile marker 112. Dominic was driving east and the 1999 Ford F-250 went off the north side of the highway, traveled through the ditch and struck a field drive. Dominic was not wearing a seat belt and he was ejected as the pickup rolled one time, coming to rest on its wheels. Crotinger was wearing a seat belt.
Hoisington Emergency Medical Service and Hoisington Police Department also responded.
A hospital spokesman said he was listed in critical condition Monday evening.
Further investigation is pending.
