Pedestrian reports being hit by car

A man was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital on Monday after reporting he’d been hit by a car. Stoney Ryan called 911 at 10:39 p.m., saying he’d been walking in the vicinity of the Great Bend Police Department when a red two-door vehicle struck him and left the area.

Lt. Bill Browne said officers weren’t sure exactly where the accident occurred because Ryan didn’t say. "He’d walked for a couple of blocks," Browne said, adding officers don’t have a lot to go on because the victim was uncooperative. He was treated for a possible broken ankle and released.
