BUSHTON — A one-vehicle accident Monday morning on K-4 resulted in four people going to area hospitals.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 2000 Dodge Durango went off the road about 1.5 miles east of Bushton at 8:58 a.m. Driver Patty A. Gabbard, 51, of Claflin, was eastbound when the vehicle dropped of the roadway onto the south shoulder and she over-corrected. The vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic and overturned into the north ditch.
Gabbard was taken to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington with undetermined injuries. Three passengers were taken to the Lyons Hospital with possible injuries: Dawn E. Gabbard, 31, Claflin; Benjamin R. Erwin, 33, Woodward, Okla.; and 1-year-old Abbie R. Judd of Claflin.
All were wearing safety restraints.
