Announcer to give sports program at Barton County Historical Society

Radio announcer Steve Webster, “The Voice of the Cougars” will share stories from his years of covering sports when he speaks at the next Barton County Historical Society program, at 7:30 p.m. Monday. The meeting takes place at the Barton County Historical Museum, located just south of the Arkansas River bridge on U.S. 281 in Great Bend.
Webster’s program, “Been to the Circus, Seen the Elephants,” is free and open to the public. Webster has covered the Barton Community College Cougars, Fort Hays State University Tigers, K-State Wildcats, and high school athletics, along with other sporting events. At this program, he will share some funny stories about Bill Snyder and other athletes and coaches he has met during his days of covering sports.
