Alicia Boor, Barton County agriculture and natural resource agent, will present “Winterizing Your Lawn” from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. This free Stop ‘N Learn program is sponsored by the Great Bend Recreation Commission.
Fall is an important time to give landscaping some TLC, Boor says. Fertilizing lawns and preparing garden beds are just a few important steps to help make plants healthy going into the dormant season so that they can thrive in the spring. This program will go over the steps to give landscaping a head start and on its way to health and vigor when the temperatures rise next year.
