The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled "Warnings About Facebooking," at noon Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. Detective Heather Smith from the Great Bend Police Department will discuss the dangers of social networking and tips on how to keep online experiences safe.

GBRC Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrick says technology is an excellent tool in today’s society, but it can also be a very dangerous one. "From posting pictures to updating status information or even just sending and receiving messages — they all have consequences and these consequences may not always have a positive outcome."
