Students performing both solo and group talent acts will compete in a new Barton Community College event, Barton’s Got Talent!, to be presented at 7 p.m., Friday in the college’s Fine Arts Auditorium.

In the same vein as "America’s Got Talent," this campus-wide competition sponsored by BCC Theatre and Student Activities will have a variety of acts. The public is invited to attend this event and admission is free.

"It’s more than just a showcase of student talent," said Barton theater instructor Erin Renard, who organized the event. "We have $350 worth of prizes to be given away." She said prizes will go to the top three acts in each category.
