A St. John teenager was flown to Via Christi Medical Center’s St. Francis Hospital in Wichita via air ambulance on Friday, after the car he was driving was hit by a construction crane at the U.S. 50 junction with U.S. 281, three miles south of St. John in Stafford County.
Kansas Highway Patrol Reports Nathan Taylor Kenworthy, 19, of St. John was southbound on U.S. 281 in a 2001 Mazda and had stopped at the stop sign, but pulled out in front of the Linkbelt crane driven by David E. Conway, 52, Wichita, who was westbound on U.S. 50. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
A spokesman for the hospital said Kenworthy was listed in good condition Saturday evening.
